Covington to Atlanta airport, a flat $85

A taxi from Covington, Georgia to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is a flat $85.00 one way in a sedan with Price Guard Rideshare. The run is roughly 50 miles and takes an hour or a little more. The price is agreed before you travel, covers the car rather than each seat, and includes tolls and airport fees.

Covington sits about fifteen miles further out than we do, so the airport run is a longer piece of road: I-20 west past Conyers, onto the connector, then into the terminals. Fifty miles is far enough that an app fare can swing by tens of dollars between one morning and the next. Ours is $85.00, decided before the car leaves the square.

Because it is the longer run, the pickup time matters more than the price does. We collect you four hours before a domestic departure, which sounds early until the connector is slow.

What the $85 covers

  • The car for up to four passengers, so the $85.00 is for the ride and not for each seat
  • Tolls and airport fees
  • The drive to whichever terminal your airline uses, domestic or international
  • Loading and unloading two large cases and a carry on, or four smaller bags
  • The extra fifteen miles of I-20: the price is the same whether the road is clear or crawling

What is not in it

  • Extra stops on the way, which we price when you ask for them rather than adding them afterwards
  • Waiting time, if you ask the driver to wait somewhere, at $21.00 an hour
  • Pickups from Oxford, Porterdale and Social Circle, which are close by but quoted from your own address rather than at the Covington flat rate

What time should the car collect you?

We work backwards from the flight: four hours before a domestic departure, four and a half hours before an international one. That covers the drive from Covington, the drop off and the security line, on the slow version of I-20 rather than the optimistic one. Give us the flight number when you book and we set the pickup time for you.

A guide, not a rule. Holiday weekends and Monday mornings deserve an earlier start, and we will say so when you book.

Coming home from ATL

The return leg is the same flat $85.00, and it has one condition: airport pickups have to be reserved in advance. We do not wait at the terminal for walk up passengers, so book the return before you fly out, or while you are still in the air.

  • Give us the flight number and we track the arrival, so landing early or three hours late changes nothing about the price.
  • Waiting time after touchdown is included while you clear bags.
  • Ask for meet and greet and the driver waits inside at baggage claim with a name board instead of at the curb.
  • Book both legs together and the trip home is arranged before you leave. Check the flight first if you want to.

Covington to ATL questions

How much is a taxi from Covington to Atlanta airport?

A flat $85.00 one way in a sedan, agreed before you travel rather than metered on arrival, with tolls and airport fees included. Coming back from ATL to Covington is the same $85.00.

How long is the drive from Covington to ATL?

Roughly 50 miles and about an hour when I-20 is behaving, longer in the morning peak. We plan your pickup on the slow version of that drive, not the optimistic one.

What time should the car collect me for a 6am flight from Covington?

Around 2am for a domestic 6am departure, and about 1:30am for an international one. Covington is a longer run than Conyers, so we work back four hours rather than three and a half.

Is the $85 per person?

No, it is for the car. Up to four passengers and their bags travel on the same $85.00, and the extra passenger charge from our meter does not apply to the flat airport rate.

Do you cover Oxford, Porterdale and Social Circle for airport runs?

Yes. The agreed flat rate is for Covington itself, so from those towns we quote the run from your own address before you book. Either way you know the number in advance.

Can you collect me from ATL and drive me back to Covington?

Yes, for the same flat $85.00, reserved in advance. We do not take walk up requests at the terminal. Give us the flight number and we follow the arrival, so a delay costs nothing and waiting after landing is included while you clear baggage.

Can you pick up from the square during filming?

Yes, and it is worth naming a meeting point when you book, because the square gets busy and parts of it get closed off for production work.

Is it cheaper to get to Conyers first and travel from there?

No, and please do not try to. Two rides always cost more than one, and the flat $85.00 from Covington already covers the whole run.

Flying out of Covington?

Book the run at $85.00 and the car is committed to your pickup time.
