Covington to Atlanta airport, a flat $85

Covington sits about fifteen miles further out than we do, so the airport run is a longer piece of road: I-20 west past Conyers, onto the connector, then into the terminals. Fifty miles is far enough that an app fare can swing by tens of dollars between one morning and the next. Ours is $85.00, decided before the car leaves the square.

Because it is the longer run, the pickup time matters more than the price does. We collect you four hours before a domestic departure, which sounds early until the connector is slow.

What the $85 covers

• The car for up to four passengers, so the $85.00 is for the ride and not for each seat
• Tolls and airport fees
• The drive to whichever terminal your airline uses, domestic or international
• Loading and unloading two large cases and a carry on, or four smaller bags
• The extra fifteen miles of I-20: the price is the same whether the road is clear or crawling

What is not in it

• Extra stops on the way, which we price when you ask for them rather than adding them afterwards
• Waiting time, if you ask the driver to wait somewhere, at $21.00 an hour
• Pickups from Oxford, Porterdale and Social Circle, which are close by but quoted from your own address rather than at the Covington flat rate

What time should the car collect you?

We work backwards from the flight: four hours before a domestic departure, four and a half hours before an international one. That covers the drive from Covington, the drop off and the security line, on the slow version of I-20 rather than the optimistic one. Give us the flight number when you book and we set the pickup time for you.

A guide, not a rule. Holiday weekends and Monday mornings deserve an earlier start, and we will say so when you book.

Coming home from ATL

The return leg is the same flat $85.00, and it has one condition: airport pickups have to be reserved in advance. We do not wait at the terminal for walk up passengers, so book the return before you fly out, or while you are still in the air.

• Give us the flight number and we track the arrival, so landing early or three hours late changes nothing about the price.
• Waiting time after touchdown is included while you clear bags.
• Ask for meet and greet and the driver waits inside at baggage claim with a name board instead of at the curb.
• Book both legs together and the trip home is arranged before you leave. Check the flight first if you want to.

Where we collect in Covington

Covington Square and the historic district, Clark Street, Turner Lake, Salem, Alcovy, Almon, Highway 278 and the I-20 exits through Newton County. If your street is not named there, it is almost certainly still covered: call and ask.
